Treat Her Like A Lady

10 Apr

Sunday: I call this my Jackie O, lady-like, Chanel-inspired ensemble! It’s a classic tweed suit, made famous by Madame Coco Chanel and has been copied by various designers throughout fashion history. It’s reminiscent of the 50s and 60s when women were always dressed to the 9’s. Tweed suit is a style that stands the test of time. It is never “out of fashion”, but at times, it’s on-trend. I like that the jacket is short-sleeved and perfect for warmer weather. Also, the colors just have that Spring/Summer feel and happen to be on trend with the pastels. The patterned lining is great hidden touch that makes it seem more expensive. I actually purchased this outfit a couple of years ago but was never inspired enough to wear it. So since I’m loving the whole lady-like trend going on right now, I decided to pull it from the back of the closet and wear it for Resurrection Sunday. To keep with the whole lady-like vibe, I went for the updo/ponytail but with a little messiness to give it a little edge and kept the accessories minimal and simple. Of course, I had to wear my vintage gloves for added charm! Are you liking the lady-like trend that’s in right now? Thanks for reading! Have a Blessed Week!
