Last Saturday: Sorry for my absence this past week, technical difficulties with my laptop (thanks to Javar getting bugs on it from uploading music apps) and then someone else (not mentioning any names) being stingy with their old laptop, anyway, I digress. So since I didn’t post last week, I got 2 post for you this week. This easy, comfy outfit I wore when we went to The Philadelphia Car Show (I took some awesome pics, especially the antique cars which are my favorites). I knew would we be doing a lot of walking and possible walking thru the city to grab something to eat, so I opted for sneakers. I remembered these sneaks I bought probably 8 or so years ago when I was in nursing school but I’ve probably only worn them maybe 2-3 times. The coat I picked up from the Clearance rack while doing birthday shopping for my co-worker last month. Pastel coats are a trend and look refreshing worn during the Winter when so many dark colors are usually worn. That’s all for now, got another post to do. God Bless!

Sunday: A little pattern mixing is always a fun styling option. When and if you decide to try mixing patterns, the key is to keep in the same color families. The colors in both patterns should compliment eachother. I guess this isn’t the right oufit to try to explain that being as though my pattern mixing only consists of two colors. You can search Google for a few examples to show you how this trend looks in color. It might feel a little weird, at first, but give it a try. You’ll know if the combination works or not. Go with your gut on this trend. Others may not understand your look but if you’re comfortable and happy with the way it turns out, who cares what others think! Oh yeah, almost forgot about the cape. I rediscovered it while browsing thru my coat closet. Turns out a already had a couple of capes/cape coats that I totally forgot about. See, it does pay to shop your closet intead of shopping the stores (sometimes). Old hidden treasures are like new again! God Bless!

Saturday: All denim is still a no-brainer outfit that works. There’s no real thought provoking styling that needs to be done when you wear a denim shirt with denim bottoms. The key is not to try to make the denims match. Contrasting the denim works better and looks better. It’s just an effortlessly stylish look. I decided to throw on this long cardi sweater to punch it up a little and add some color. It also served as another warm layer to combat the cold temps. I styled the belt with this look because I thought it went with the rest of the ensemble, giving me a cool, Western vibe. Ok, that’s it for now. Got one more post to do. God Bless!
