Sunday: Just a simple a black maxi dress. I picked it up off the clearance rack some time last year and thought it would be perfect to wear on my media ministry day at church. I didn’t realize it at first but it’s a maternity dress. Hence the reason why it has bilateral ruching. That didn’t matter to me so purchased it anyway. I like the loose comfy fit and the long length. I wanted to keep the look casual so I threw on this jean jacket and slip-on thick soled sneakers (super comfy, btw). Added a pop of color with the headwrap. That’s all for now. God Bless!

Saturday: Because these pants were so unusual, I had to have them. Not only do I love the ombre effect but the fact that they are covered from front to back in hummingbirds makes them a win-win. In order to “tame them down” a little, I juxtaposed their edgyness with a preppy v-neck varsity sweater. So unexpected but works well together. Keeping short for now. Gotta watch Mad Men. God Bless!

Monday: Headed out today to enjoy my day off from work and experience the wonderful weather we were having. Since it was so warm I just had to go barelegged! This is an old shirtdress that I purchased several years ago and just never took the opportunity to wear until now. You know me and multiples, so this little number has a twin that is a khaki/olive/burgundy plaid. I might pull it out this season or not. Not a regular post day but wanted to get these photos up on the blog so this post is short and sweet. Enjoy your weekend and thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Nothing But Neutral

Sunday: This was my “Easter Outfit”. Not exactly Spring-worthy since the look is sans color. Actually, it’s not what I had in mind but since I had it out for last Sunday but the morning cold temps deterred me from wearing it, I said I might as well wear it today. Anywho, kept the look all neutral but juxtaposed the striped sweater with the leopard print booties. Some would say that stripes and animal print don’t “match”. And surprisingly, I would agree. They don’t match but they “go together”. It’s pattern mixing, like you would do with a top and pant or skirt look. As look as the colors compliment eachother, it’s appropriate pattern mixing. Ok, pattern mixing isn’t for the fashion faint-at-heart. It takes a sort of boldness that says, “I don’t care what others think of my outfit, I love it!” So if you want to dabble in pattern mixing, start out with basic colors (ie; black and white patterns) and then work your way up to more bold colors, if you like. Oh yeah, and the 90’s style choker necklace is trending again. They’re in alot of the stores if you want try it out. Of course, Forever 21 has very inexpensive ones. They have some great inexpensive jewelry that is very trendy and stylish but you won’t go broke or be too heartbroken if something happens to it. Later for now! God Bless!

Robe?Coat?

Saturday: It was kind of nice outside so I decided to finally wear this robe-coat that I picked up last year some time. I was attracted to it because it was different, unlike anything that I usually find in the stores. The fact that it was hooded, it belted and had pockets made it an easier decision for purchase. The bonus to it all was that it was on clearance. Until next time, God Bless!
