All Flare

29 Feb

A few basic, staple pieces and a headwrap. Some may be afraid to wear the latest cropped jean trend for fear of looking like a flood is coming. But you know me, I will take that risk. These are not only cropped but also have a slight flare and a higher waist. Kept everything else very basic with a turtleneck and long cardi. What do you think about cropped jeans? Yay or Nay, for yourself? God Bless!

Casual attire consisting of a pair of high waist jeans, a sweatshirt and some sneaks. You can’t get anymore basic than that! The sneakers I picked up around Christmas time. I was drawn to them because they reminded me of a pair of DKNY boots that I had back in the day. Why didn’t I keep them? I say that often about pieces I remember having and wish that I currently still owned. That’s why I have a hard time getting rid of pieces now. I always think, now what if I get rid of it and then want it back several years later? That’s why I keep alot of my clothes for years!!! You never know when I get that urge to pull out a piece from the archives. Well, I digress! Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Bold stripes was on the menu for the day! I love the semi-loose, relaxed fit of this dress. And the stripes, both normal and wavy, give it a circus vibe (which I love!). Dug out these old booties that I’ve had for quite some time. They were one of those investment items that are basic enough to never go out of style. Until the next time, stay warm East Coasters and God Bless!

Orange is the New Black

I am a fan of neutral colors, especially with a pop of color! Olive green is one of those colors that I believe looks great with almost any color. I styled this ordinary skirt and sweater look with the long-line vest to not only add a pop of color but to also add some visual interest with portions. My accessory of choice, a neck scarf. Definitely one of my favorite ways to accessory whether it’s worn around the neck, on the wrist or on my head. Pulled out these old suede and patent booties because I like how brown looks with the other colors. Hope you have a great weekend! God Bless!

Sweater: Thrifted-Men’s Department (initially was going to use it for my DIY Ugly Christmas Sweater but opted for the cardigan instead)
