Waist Deep

This is a music festival outfit. No, really, I actually wore it to one and not one of the times when I just looked like I should have been at a music festival. I went on a little thrifting spree (x2) and scooped up a few pairs of high waist shorts and jeans. Some of the jeans are going to be cut into shorts and them some I will leave as long pants. I haven’t been thrifting in over a year so it was fun to get back at it and come away with some good finds. The sneakers are the fraternal twins to the high top pair worn here. Well, I’m out for now! Talk to you soon! God Bless!

I love a shoe with ties that wrap up your legs but sometimes they can be a pain when they won’t stay tied, as you can see! Anyway, loving how the subtle tan/brown hues play against the light washed denim. The choker is one of the newest styles of accessories that are out right now. It’s not only a choker, but it incorporates these black laces that I tied into a bow. Some of the others that I’ve seen and actually purchased, wraps around the neck and just hangs loose on each side. I’ll bring it to your attention when I wear it. Until the next time, God Bless!

I picked this dress up last year when I was in Vegas. I knew that if I wore it to church that I would need to layer some type of bottoms underneath. I decided to style it with cropped jeans. It gives me the coverage that I need but also gives the look a more laid back feel. What do you think? God Bless!

Pom Poms

A crop top and some high waist shorts. The sandals are a diy project that I did a few months back. I love the pom pom on footwear trend so I decided to give it a try myself. There are several designer pairs of shoes out there with pom poms but I couldn’t find any in my price range (at that time). So I headed out to Michael’s, pulled out the old glue gun and this is the finished product. What do you think of the pom pom trend? Would you rock it on your shoes? Or on your clothing? God Bless!

Another onesie! This one is like wearing my pj’s outside with a pair of sneakers. I bought it extra loose fitting (as I do most of my clothing) to give the look that easy, carefree vibe. The metallic sneakers give that pop against the black background of the romper. Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Just a simple tank dress. These style of dresses are easy to throw on when you really don’t feel like getting dressed but you want to still look like you made some type of effort. I styled mine sporty with these metallic sneaks and a baseball cap. The shirt tied around the waste works double duty by giving the look a little something extra but also works for when you go into an air conditioned building and it’s a bit chilly. What’s a comfy, easy look that you do? Until next time, God Bless!

Who doesn’t love a dress with pockets? I love dresses anyway, but one with pockets, is the bee’s knees (as Wendy Williams would say)! This one gives me the feel of vintage so it is definitely right up my alley. And the print is both busy but somehow classic to me. I had to style it with these crazy cool sandals that I picked up several months ago. I’m always on the hunt from that unique piece, whether it be an article of clothing or a shoe is all the better. These babies are definitely the star (pun intended) of the outfit! Later for now! God Bless!
