Peek-a-Boo Mickey

Mood was for something comfy to wear for a full day of activities with my job. We went out to celebrate Christmas. Our 1st stop was to do some outreach at a Nursing Home. Then we went to the Escape Room which are themed rooms where participants have to solve the mystery in order to gain the key “to leave the room”. It was very hard but so much fun! We had the most difficult room which in approximately 600 participants, only 2 have solved it and “got out of the room”. The day finished with dinner. This was the perfect outfit! Flats, leggings and a sweatshirt! Did you have/attend your company’s Christmas party? God Bless!

Still a Fan

Finally decided to style this sweater that I bought at the end of the Winter season last year. The 49ers aren’t doing well this year but that doesn’t stop me from being a fan. In my childhood home we were 49er fans and it hasn’t changed. Even though my husband brainwashed the oldest at a young age to being a Cowboys fan. It didn’t work with the middle son, he remains a San Fran fan. And the youngest somehow landed in the nest of the Baltimore Ravens (even though his dad is convinced he will one day play for the Cowboys!). Anyway, this is how I styled it! Are you a football fan? God Bless!

I Understand…I Just Don’t Care

This buffalo check number is either a dress, shirtdress or a very long button down. I chose to style it as a jacket/duster or whatever you want to call it. Plaid, especially red and black plaid, can come across as grunge or lumberjack-ish. I went with a bit of both. Pulled out and dusted off this old hiker boots because I like how they looked with the whole ensemble and how the dark brown pops with all the red and black. Hope your weekend is going well and your finishing up your Christmas shopping! God Bless!

Go Away!

I’m finally wearing this velvet ensemble I picked up several months ago. It’s a bit snug in the thigh and booty for my taste but I made it work. Side note: H&M sizing is so unpredictable! They cut more for European sizing so whatever your US size is, you need to go up a size or two. Anyway, this may be my 1st and only time wearing these pants. Styling wise I wanted to keep the look more casual. With the velvet fabric and the green color the suit can read “Christmas”, which is fine if that’s what you’re going for. I wasn’t so to make things more fun and casual I went with this Oscar the Grouch tee and white sneakers. The sneakers really worked because the length of the pants aren’t long enough for heels (for my taste anyway). Have you participated in the velvet trend yet? I have a few other velvet pieces in my wardrobe so you will be seeing more! Until the next time, God Bless!

Just Do It

Ok, who doesn’t love a sweatpant? I’m usually the person who only wears sweats around the house or to run out real quick for coffee or the market early in the a.m. If I am in sweats it’s usually a pair of the trendy athleisure type of joggers. Anyway, I recently acquired two pair of the most comfortable pants in the world. Men’s Nike joggers that were handed down to me from Javar. I’m sporting the gray pair here but I also have black ones that are a different fabric. Since I really didn’t feel like leaving the house today let alone getting dressed, I knew these joggers were the perfect solution! I styled them with this cozy Christmas “sweatshirt” that is extremely soft! I felt like I was in a pair of comfy pjs. And I just couldn’t go all out and wear sneakers too so I amped up the look with these crazy high platform booties. And for some reason, by throwing on a chic fedora it just makes you look more put together! What do you think? God Bless!

This is the night look from the day look of the previous post. I ditched the long cardi and swapped it out for this colorful, chic blazer. I also replaced the furry footwear for something a bit more glam like these amazing, curved heel booties. Now that I’m looking at them, they kind of have a cowboy boot feel to them. You see how two basic pieces like the turtleneck and jeans can go from day to night? Have you ever done a day to night look with an outfit? God Bless!

Found this chic cowboy hat while browsing the mens’ department. It’s a brand that I am quite familiar with because I already own several other types by them. I love this brand because the hats are very well made but are affordable. If I haven’t mentioned it before, I love a men’s hat because they come in sizes large enough to accommodate my hair when it’s in its natural state. Otherwise, I can’t wear them unless I tame my mane and straighten it a little bit. Anywho, wanted to keep everything else simple since the hat is the statement piece. So when you want to go for simple and understated, all black is the answer. Besides my floral, furry footwear choice, which is a statement in and of its self! Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!
