Still a Fan

18 Dec

Finally decided to style this sweater that I bought at the end of the Winter season last year. The 49ers aren’t doing well this year but that doesn’t stop me from being a fan. In my childhood home we were 49er fans and it hasn’t changed. Even though my husband brainwashed the oldest at a young age to being a Cowboys fan. It didn’t work with the middle son, he remains a San Fran fan. And the youngest somehow landed in the nest of the Baltimore Ravens (even though his dad is convinced he will one day play for the Cowboys!). Anyway, this is how I styled it! Are you a football fan? God Bless!

Shine Bright

Styled one of my favorites, the bodysuit, with these cropped jeans and kimono wrap jacket. The jacket I picked up last year while shopping in Vegas. Because of its shimmer, it could come off a bit garish so I toned it down with denim. The same goes for the shiny bodysuit. I would consider this to be a transition out. Transitioning your Summer pieces to wear in the Fall when the weather is still a bit warm. Well, until the next time, God Bless!

Orange Is The New Black

12 Aug

Another one piece number! I like that this one has the crossover crotch detail but is also menswear inspired. I usually don’t like putting orange and black together because it always seems Halloween-y to me but I wanted to keep the look casual and laid back and these flat slides did the trick while also providing a pop of color. Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Cream of the Crop

5 Aug

Another pair of cropped pants. I think I own so many pairs it’s ridiculous! From trousers, to denim, and several jumpsuit versions too! This one that is both a lightweight denim and and jumpsuit. It’s perfect for the hot, lazy days of Summer but I added the jacket to help combat the frigidness of the air conditioners. Do you have any favorite styles that you’ve been rocking this Summer? God Bless!

I picked this dress up last year when I was in Vegas. I knew that if I wore it to church that I would need to layer some type of bottoms underneath. I decided to style it with cropped jeans. It gives me the coverage that I need but also gives the look a more laid back feel. What do you think? God Bless!

My mom 1st saw this jumpsuit while she was out shopping one day. She immediately new that it was something that I would wear. She called to let me know about it but when I checked it out, the price was not something I wanted to pay! It was actually a bit ridiculous and I refused to pay full price for it, even though I wanted it. Anyway, you know me, I will stalk a piece. So, since I wasn’t going to pay full price (which I don’t the majority of the time I shop), I actually stalked the jumpsuit until they put it on sale and had a coupon available. Because just being on sale still wasn’t good enough. Oh yeah, I was also able to use some reward dollars towards it too. I digress! A black belt with a gold plate did come with the jumpsuit but I preferred it more loose/relaxed fitting. Plus, I wanted to wear these silver mules. Not that I don’t mix metal tones but this time it just didn’t look right to me. Until the next time, God Bless!

Sunday: Styled these cropped pants with a basic black, loose-fitting tank. Since the pants has such a bold and large scale print, the solid black tank didn’t compete with it. Instead of a basic color shoe I styled the look with these chunky heeled sandals of neutral colors but a pop of print. I like how the little sliver of print on the sandals “clashes” with the print of the pants. The jacket was added for the modesty factor that I had to possess for church. Since the clock is ticking very fast, I’m trying to get some last minute wear out of my Summer wardrobe pieces before the cool air begins to settle in (ugh!). Enjoy the rest of the long holiday weekend! God Bless!

Garden Party

1 Dec

Saturday: These are the other “flo-mo” pants like the ones I wore in this post but different colors. I have the matching skirt too that I wore here. I’m still in need of the blazer. Maybe I’ll find it on a clearance rack somewhere. Anyways, I just wore a plain black thin knit sweater and let the pants be the focus. It was quite warm today, well not that warm but mid 50s, which is warm for us East Coasters this time of year. The vest was just enough as outerwear. I’m loving my assorted insects/bugs necklace that I picked up a few weeks ago. I thought I would wear it with something sweet and unexpected but decided it would look good with this plain crewneck/boatneck sweater. Just enough to make it lie flat. Hope you enjoyed this beautiful day! God Bless!
