Bandana Love

26 Nov

This turned out to be one of my favorite looks! Of course, it’s the jumpsuit/onesie! Not only do I love a onesie, but I also really adore one with pockets! This one is so comfy and could come off very masculine depending on how it is styled. I femmed it up with a pair of heels but also kept the look cool and casual with the bandana around my neck and the bandana under the hat. I thought the neck bandana was pretty fab with the chain tassel details. I love a bandana/neck scarf but this one took it up a notch. I’m out for now! God Bless!

If you didn’t get in on the OTK boot (Over-The-Knee) trend the last couple of years, this season is still available for you to give it a go! You can find them in different fabrics, colors and heel heights that are sure to work for everyone! They also come in a wider with if you’re worried about them fitting your legs. I’m loving this heel height cause they are super comfy and can be walked in and worn for hours! And if you’re concerned about cost, the price point ranges and will fit into anyone’s budget, from high to low. Well, that’s it for now! God Bless!

This dress is one of the pieces I picked up when I was in Las Vegas. It’s very basic and simple but I think that’s why I was drawn to it. To keep the look more modest, I wore the turtleneck to fill in for the deep V neckline. And since the side slits were a bit higher than I thought, I added the opaque tights and OTK boots. I actually thought it was going to be cold this morning so that’s why I wore this look. By the time I was ready to leave the house, the sun was out and it had warmed. Bummer! I would not have worn this so early in the season. I like to go bare-legged as long as possible and this would not have made the cut today if I knew it was 50 degrees. Anyway, it is what it is. Until next time, God Bless!

Belle of the Ball…Skirt

26 May

Mother’s Day: It was Mother’s Day, so why not dress up a little! As I’ve said before, I love a midi skirt! And this one I consider to be a ball skirt because it is a little more fancy than the norm. Meaning the fabric and structure makes it so it could be “dressed down” for everyday wear or “dressed up” to be worn on a more formal occasion. I’ve had it since the Winter and thought this to be the perfect opportunity to wear it. I just didn’t want to wear it with tights! ugh! The white tee keeps it casual enough but the mules keeps the look feminine and girlie enough. Sorry, for my absence, I have been very busy lately. I got a couple more outfit posts to make up for my absence. Gotta go for now! Thanks for your continued support! God Bless!

Sunday: I always loved a midi skirt. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term “midi skirt” it’s a skirt that ends anywhere from just below the knee to a few inches above the ankle. Sometimes this length is also referred to as “tea length”. It’s a style that’s in between the mini skirt (above the knee/mid thigh) and the maxi skirt (almost floor sweeping). Midi skirts can come in the full style, as I am wearing, but also can be a pencil skirt, a “wiggle skirt” or straight style. This length is ideal for chilly days when you’re still delaying the need to wear tights (guilty!) but it comes down over your legs far enough so that you are still pretty comfortably warm. It’s also perfect for early Spring when the temps aren’t quite so warm yet. I chose to style it with this thin knit to make it more casual but also keep a slight retro feel by wearing these pointy toe pumps. If you’re ready for tights or not, knee high boots also work well with this style. Or maybe an ankle boot. Just have fun and style it the way you see best. Hope you had a great weekend! God Bless!

Seeing Red

Saturday: A casual Saturday calls for a casual outfit. The initial sweater was purchased during the after Christmas sales. I love good knit, especially the lightweight ones that can be worn layered during the colder months and then alone during the Spring. I even love to rock them during the Summer with shorts (when it’s not too hot or in the evenings). It’s such a preppy piece but I styled it with these distressed jeans to give it a different look. And of course, the leopard booties are a neutral for me. They go with almost everything! They can take an outfit to another level. And how bout these red glasses! I love them! I am obsessed with fashion glasses and have been looking (passively) for some red ones. I may not wear my prescription glasses often but I will rock some fashion frames! Alright, that’s all for now. Got another post to do. God Bless!
