Finally found these Levis ‘Wedgie Fit’ Jeans that 1st came to my attention almost a year ago. They were sold out everywhere which was fine with me because they were selling at a price that I was not willing to pay but would have bought them at a much lower rate. Styled them with this bike sweater that I picked up from the Mens’ Department during that additional off the sale price event along with this belt bag. I’m a firm believer that you don’t have to much your bag to your shoes or belt but I liked how the honey colored boots pop like the bag/belt. Do you believe you shoes need to match your belt or bag? God Bless!

Denim cutoffs, a Summer staple piece! You can buy them or you can DIY them but they are definitely the go-to piece for a Summer day! They are a “trend” but not really because they have been around for decades and have and never will ever go out of style! I turn to them when I want to either be a little put-together but not want to put forth much thought and also when I just want to throw something on and go. You can style them so many ways, that’s the best part about them. And when you wear them loosely, how I like them, they are super comfy! So style them with flats, sneakers, ankle boots, knee boots, heels or whatever, and you’re good to go! Until next time, God Bless!

Summer Staple Piece

Friday: Denim cutoffs are always a go-to when it comes to easy Summer dressing! Definitely a Summer staple piece. Instead of one of my usual pairs of blue denim cutoffs I went with this white pair. I paired them with a simple tank top but styled them with this printed kimono to add a bit more interest and coverage in case I get a little chilly once night falls.  And since I was going to an outdoor festival, I wore these ankle boots instead of sandals because I didn’t want grass touching my feet (don’t judge me, lol) and also wanted to protect my feet from the crowds that I may come in contact with. Plus, I just like the look of a boot, whether ankle, knee or calf height, with shorts and dreses! And of course, I’m always excited when I can wear a hat that fits over my hair! What are your Summer go-to pieces? God Bless!

Sunday: A casual and relaxed look. That’s what I love about jeans, they can be styled in many different ways. Today I chose to dress them down with a tee and a pair of slip on sneakers. A mostly all gray and black look that is very different for me. I am a lover of color, prints and patterns to to catch me in a monochromatic or dark colors is unusual. This wasn’t done purposely but just came out that way. The jeans are a loose, slouchy pair, my favorite type of jean. The sneakers were a random find that I purchased post toe surgery. They’re actually very comfy. You wouldn’t believe what I paid for them! I almost got them for free! I wish you could see them better. They are canvas, the color of my jeans. A little black-gray and the top is black sequins. The whole look is a bit masculine so I added the blingy, feminine necklace to balance it out a little. And of course, the leatherette blazer completes the look. Hooe you had a great weekend! God Bless!

Friday: If you can see it, it had actually started snowing as we were taking these photos. So if you see a little blur or artifact, that’s what it is, snow flakes. Wanted to go do some errands before things got too bad. I know they were only calling for less than 2 inches, but snow is not my thing. Don’t like anything about but was grateful it was on my day off going into the weekend. Anyway, the sweater I thrifted over a year or so ago. I know the teddy bears are  a bit crazy quirky looking but something about it I was attracted to. I love that it is oversize and comfy and very soft. Because of the neutral colors, I decided to wear a pop of color with these red booties. I like the color red but for some reason I hardly ever purchase red footwear. I had been looking for a red, low-heeled bootie and jumped right on these when I saw them in F21. They were only 1 of 2 pairs left and these just happened to be my size. They were definitely meant to go home with me! Well, enjoying what’s left of my lazy weekend indoors (my favorite). Hope you’re enjoying your weekend and staying warm. Our East Coast temps are supposed to climb above these teens/20s this coming week, woo hoo! God Bless!

Grid Locked

Saturday: Wearing one of the pieces I picked up yesterday. I paired this grid print sweater (which is actually a good weight/quality piece) with these slouchy skinnies. I love the slouch (of course) and also I like how this jeans have that ombre effect of black fading down into gray. The booties I purchased a couple of years ago, don’t remember exactly when but they been sitting there waiting for the day to be worn. So today was that day. Accessory wise, I usually don’t go for statement (big/bold) earrings and a statement (big/bold) necklace, at the same time but I decided to break that rule today. Sometimes you just have to be a rebel and break some rules! Enough chatter, let me go to bed so I don’t be yawning in church tomorrow. God Bless!
