Who doesn’t love a classic turtleneck? I love turtleneck. And when it boasts some detail, even better! The Amore patch with the winged heart just makes it a little bit more special and fun. What do you think about a turtleneck?

Found this chic cowboy hat while browsing the mens’ department. It’s a brand that I am quite familiar with because I already own several other types by them. I love this brand because the hats are very well made but are affordable. If I haven’t mentioned it before, I love a men’s hat because they come in sizes large enough to accommodate my hair when it’s in its natural state. Otherwise, I can’t wear them unless I tame my mane and straighten it a little bit. Anywho, wanted to keep everything else simple since the hat is the statement piece. So when you want to go for simple and understated, all black is the answer. Besides my floral, furry footwear choice, which is a statement in and of its self! Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Crops and Loafers

23 Oct

Sporting my new favs again! Wow, I think this may be the 1st time I’ve ever worn the same shoes in 2 back-to-back posts! I didn’t feel like wearing heels or styling this jumpsuit dressy so I opted for a flat shoe. The flat shoe makes the look more casual and relaxed plus it saves my that were a bit sore after wearing those YSL boots in this post (it was a long night on my feet, ugh!). I think my feet just need to get used to heels again after wearing flats all Summer. We will just have to see about that! Well, thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Proud to Be American

22 Oct

There’s nothing more American then denim! Kept the look real casual by styling this ankle length jean skirt with a muscle tee. The shoes are my new favorites! They can be styled with any and everything and they are super comfy and just any overall easy shoe that I love to slide on and off without a second thought. Do you have a go-to shoe? God Bless!

My mom 1st saw this jumpsuit while she was out shopping one day. She immediately new that it was something that I would wear. She called to let me know about it but when I checked it out, the price was not something I wanted to pay! It was actually a bit ridiculous and I refused to pay full price for it, even though I wanted it. Anyway, you know me, I will stalk a piece. So, since I wasn’t going to pay full price (which I don’t the majority of the time I shop), I actually stalked the jumpsuit until they put it on sale and had a coupon available. Because just being on sale still wasn’t good enough. Oh yeah, I was also able to use some reward dollars towards it too. I digress! A black belt with a gold plate did come with the jumpsuit but I preferred it more loose/relaxed fitting. Plus, I wanted to wear these silver mules. Not that I don’t mix metal tones but this time it just didn’t look right to me. Until the next time, God Bless!

Slightly Exposed

I wore this little number to a graduation ceremony. I think I purchased it sometime last year but didn’t have an opportunity to wear it. The cutout trend is one that has been around for the past year and this particular cutout placement is in the ideal place without being too exposed or revealing. It is placed higher as to not expose the belly button area. I also like that the dress’s floral pattern keeps things more girly and playful. The material of the dress also gives it a more casual feel and could easily be styled with a flat sandal for an everyday look. I styled it with this mule-esque sandals that I’ve had for about 5-6+ years now. I believe I’ve only worn them maybe all of 1x. What do you think of the cutout trend? Have you or will you partake? God Bless!

Belle of the Ball…Skirt

Mother’s Day: It was Mother’s Day, so why not dress up a little! As I’ve said before, I love a midi skirt! And this one I consider to be a ball skirt because it is a little more fancy than the norm. Meaning the fabric and structure makes it so it could be “dressed down” for everyday wear or “dressed up” to be worn on a more formal occasion. I’ve had it since the Winter and thought this to be the perfect opportunity to wear it. I just didn’t want to wear it with tights! ugh! The white tee keeps it casual enough but the mules keeps the look feminine and girlie enough. Sorry, for my absence, I have been very busy lately. I got a couple more outfit posts to make up for my absence. Gotta go for now! Thanks for your continued support! God Bless!
