Sunday: Finally decided to wear this printed pencil skirt I bought a few months back. I was drawn to the bright colors and then when I tried it on, there was no doubt in my mind that I wasn’t going purchase it. I love that it has stretch in it and hugs my curves (what little I do have, lol), in all the right places. The way the print is paneled running down the middle of the front and back of the skirt helps to elongate me (like I need any help looking taller, but what women doesn’t want to look taller and slimmer, right?). I was wearing this top the day I tried the skirt on and knew this is how I wanted to style it whenever I did wear it. This top is so versatile. It’s a very light weight material, loose and flowy how I like it, but the “leather” helps to give it more structure and edge. I literally loved how this top looked with everything I tried on that day (and bought most of it). Now let’s just see how many of those that I will actually wear this top with. Anyways, hope you had a great weekend. Over too fast for me but looking forward to getting this upcoming week over so I can start my vacay! So ready! God Bless!

Sunday: I love wearing full on color during the Winter. Some people believe that color is only made for the warmer days that the Spring and Summer bring. They often resort to blacks and browns and other such neutrals. Which is fine as long as you add in a pop of color. Or if you do the all black thing occasionally. But not day in and day out. I think that when you only do those dark colors, especially during the Winter, they somehow affect your overall mood and attitude. Some people tend to go thru the Winter Blues where their mood is more on the depressive side due to the colder weather and shorter days. But if you put a little color into your Winter wardrobe, it might also help uplift your spirit and mood. It has been said over and over again, you’re outside appearance has an effect on your inner feelings. I believe that to be true. When you look good, you feel good. That also goes for colors. When you wear a cheerful/bright color, it can uplift your mood. Think about it. Have you ever seen someone wearing bright/colorful clothing walking around looking down and depressed? I haven’t. I digress. I hope I inspired someone to step out of the Winter dark color box and wear some color. Anyways, I am doing the extreme with color today. Not only am I doing a vibrant green and black pencil skirt, but I also had to pair it with this color blocked sweater that not only had the green/black but also a touch of fushia.  Then I didn’t stop there, I also chose to do bright/vibrant makeup today. Overkill? No, not for me. I just do whatever my mood calls for. What do you think? Hope you had a great weekend! God Bless!

Sunday: When I saw this pencil skirt in the store it reminded of the Dolce & Gabbana dress. Even though I love an allover floral print, I love the way this one is strategically placed down the sides elongating my legs. The nude heels elongates my legs even more. Who doesn’t want their legs to look longer? When a woman wears nude colored shoes it makes the legs look as if they go on for days (even with the ankle strap which can sometimes cut the legs off). Well, the real reason why I wore nude instead of black is because I didn’t want to wear the expected. But the leg thing is the bonus! Anyways, the skirt is high waist but I chose to wear this high low sweatshirt which doesn’t show off the waist. Maybe next time I’ll wear a more fitted top to show off the waist more. Hope you had a great weekend! Mine went too fast. But anyway. God Bless!
