Sunday: Another pair of drop crotch/MC Hammer pants (shorts). I told you I love these things! Only thing with these ones, is the material wrinkles alot especially due to all the extra material that gathers under you as you sit. Anyway, I decided to keep the whole look more masculine by wearing these flat loafers. Yes, I am in flats. Mostly because of my post-surgerical toe situation, but also because there are so many cute and chic flats out right now that I have amassed quite a collection! The only thing is that sometimes I find them hard to style because I think every outfit looks better with heels and heels just make me feel more put together. But I am trying to embrace this flats thing more and more. Also, let it be known, that flats are not always comfortable to me. Just because they are flat people tend to think that they are more comfortable compared to flats. Not! I have a harder time wearing flats than heels most of the time. For me, it’s because the way that flats are sometimes cut, they just don’t fit comfortable around my feet. Does anyone else have this problem or is it just me and my weird feet? Hope you had a great weekend! God Bless!

P.S.: I don’t know what I was doing in the 5th pic but I thought it was funny/different pic to post.

Back to Basics

Monday Night (NYE): I initially had plans on getting all dressed up for NYE. No, not to go to a party, but to go to church. Well, I guess you can call it a party because that’s how we do @ WOFCC! And why not get dressed up for church? It’s still NYE no matter where you go or what you do. But as you can see, my plan changed. But since I never really actual “plan” outfits. I usually wear what I feel like wearing @ that time. I might have a particular outfit in mind but then when the time comes to get dressed, it just all depends on how I’m feeling. And this night, after lounging most of the day, I just did not feel like getting dressed up! So this is the comfy, laid back option that won out. Nothing to really explain just basic, wardrobe essentials that everyone should have in their closets. A turtleneck, jeans, a blazer and a pair of riding boots and very minimal jewelry. O, and the fanny pack/pouch belt is mostly for convenience of not wanting to carry any other type of bag. Plus, it acts as belt to keep my pants on my waist. And of course I thought it just looked good with the overall ensemble. So how was your NYE? Did you get dressed up? Well, since I’m late on these next couple of posts (just the laziness of having of from work); Happy New Year and thanks for reading my blog in 2012! God Bless!

That’s A Wrap

21 Oct

Saturday: Another warm, Autumn day. Days like this were made for skirts/dresses and boots. I had this wrap skirt for a few years now but was never inspired to wear it. It’s been on my radar for about a month now and I thought today was the day for it to appear. Since the skirt shows alot of leg, I decided to be more covered up on the top with this “go with anything/everything” denim/chambray button down. I have acquired quite a few denim/chambray shirts but this has become my new favorite. I like that it is different then just the plain ones. The acid/tye-dye, streaky effect makes it more interesting. The tag actually says it’s acid wash. But whatever it is, I like it. Added a statement necklace to complete the look. I love this time of year when the leaves change. They make for beautiful photos. The weatherman said this is the peak time for leaf color changes in our area so I was trying to get so pics before they all fall of the trees. Most of the leaves were really high on top the trees today but maybe I can find some for next weekend’s photos. Hope you enjoyed your weekend. Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!
