Sunday: A quick post of some shots me and the hubby did together. He’s usually a neutrals wearing kind of guy but I get him to step out his box every now and then.

Sunday: Wearing a vintage-inspired denim skirt. My favorite part is the buttons that go down the front. And the high waist. You already know how much I love a casual graphic tee with EVERYTHING! It just adds a sense of quirkiness that I love. I just love mixing pieces that ordinarily don’t “match” or “go together” in the traditional sense. But mixing it up is what makes it my personal style. Anywho, the platforms just work with the fuller skirt for me. I guess they are probably what one might have actually worn with a skirt like this in the 70’s. Well, that’s all for now. God Bless!

White Hot Summer

Sunday: I love an all white outfit in the Summertime. It just looks so crisp and clean. And the darker your skin, the more it just seems to pop. No color today, except on the lips. Decided on the neutral shoe to not overpower the white dress. And gold accessories and accents just enhances the look of the white. God Bless!

Sunday: Just a little style mixing today. A casual graphic tee with a tweed skirt. The skirt I picked up a couple of years ago while accompanying Michelle on a trip to consign some clothes. As usual, she was doing the selling while I was doing the buying. I came across this tweed skirt. What drew me to it was its uniqueness. Not only was it a classic tweed, but it had a twist with the open pleats that were of a different floral material. It was different, so of course I had to have it! The shoes are a Target find. I love when I find great little inexpensive pieces from Target. I don’t usually shop there but every once in a while I stop in to see what they have. I got these back in the early Spring when it was still to cold to wear open toe shoes. Right around the time when the stores first put out the new pieces for the upcoming season. I love shopping at those times because you get first dibs on stuff before the people start snatching it up and it’s no longer available. You may look a little crazy being open toes or shorts while it’s still chilly or boots when you can still sport flip flops, but if you like 1st pickings, this is the time! Anywho, I love all the buckles and the straps. Still like a gladiator sandal but with a heel. Hope you had a great weekend! God Bless!

I’m Back

Sunday (2 weeks ago): I’m back! I know I left you all hanging without an outfit post for a few weeks (sorry) but I needed a serious vacay. Actually, I meant to do this post before my vacay started but I didn’t and once the vacay started, I just wasn’t going to post. My vacay consisted not only of being off from work and getting out of town but getting away from technology/social media too. It wasn’t planned but I got that revelation and went with it. So here is the outfit that I wore a few Sundays back. The skirt is one of a few that I have acquired. I love the fit! It has some spandex/lycra so it hugs your curves but is still very comfortable. The heels I bought about a year ago, I think. I love an ankle strap heel. The look and also because of these skinny heels of mine. These color blocked ones are different and you how much I like different. O yeah the turban. I picked up this one and a couple others a couple of years ago but just now decided to try them with an outfit. It’s pretty lightweight and can either be worn during warmer or colder months. Well, that’s all for now. I have another post to put up. Thanks for hanging in there with me! I hope you get a vacay this Summer if you have not already taken one. We all need to recharge ourselves! God Bless!
