A Flare

30 Jan

IMG_2563IMG_2583IMG_2610IMG_2571IMG_2569IMG_2605

A little bit of a 70’s flare (pun intended) in this look. Just a basic turtleneck and a some simple flare leg jeans. Layered a long cardigan just to add a little something extra and also for function since the Winter weather is real now! These pointed-toe, suede booties are super old. They have a very low kitten heel which I thought balanced out the length of the jeans and still made them long enough how I like it. Not much else to say so until next time, God Bless!

Finally decided to give these white moto boots a spin around town. I purchased them several months and just hadn’t much thought about wearing them until now. My plan, well maybe not a plan, but my thought was to wear them during warmer months with shorts and dresses. So for now I’ll just wear them with jeans and then when the weather begins to break, I’ll pull them out again. The jeans are perfectly slouchy, how I love them. There’s something about a men’s jean fit on a woman that I am so attracted to. The jeans are upcycled from Javar. In other words, they are hand-me-downs that Javar can no longer fit that instead of throwing away, will live on in my wardrobe. Thanks for reading! God Bless!

Combining to of my favorite colors in this comfy, laid back outfit. I love the colors individually and believe that each as an individual works well with almost every color, especially navy. Instead of styling these joggers with the expected pair of sneakers, I opted for my good ole’ faithful leopard print booties. I treat these booties as a neutral and put them with everything! On top of being a “neutral” that goes with everything, they are super comfy and I can walk a mile in them. Until the next post, God Bless!

You either love them or you hate them! The “Mom” jean that is. I love them, as you can see. There’s nothing very flattering about them but I don’t care. I like that they give you a look that most women won’t do. I like that they are a still that’s vintage without having to hunt down a pair in a thrift store. If you don’t have a booty these jeans surely won’t give the illusion of having one. But that’s all I’m going to say about the “Mom” jean. I’m finally wearing one of the skinny scarves that I purchased quite a while back. You can style a skinny scarf as an accessory in place of a necklace or you can layer them with a necklace(s). I hope your having a great weekend! God Bless!

It’s definitely sweater weather now! But still not too bad. Layered a long-sleeve shirt underneath so I can go coatless. Everything is loose-fitting today, the way that I like it. Sporting my new topper I picked up from Forever 21. I didn’t intend on purchasing anything but a few pieces of jewelry but when I saw literally, piles of hats stacked upon stacks, I had to take a look. Little did I know that they had marked down ones mixed in with the regular price ones. The marked downs were at 60% off the original. So you can guess what happened. I went through every stack and walked out the store with a whole new collection to add to my already abundant collection. What can I say, I love a good lid! Have you caught any good sales lately? God Bless!

Sporty was on the agenda for the day. Wearing faux leather joggers with these animal print sneakers that I love! (last seen in this post) The vest is such a cozy piece and is perfect to wear on top of layers without needing to wear a coat. Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Nothing goes together better than stripes and animal print. I consider them both neutrals and the contrast of the to is spot on (no pun intended) to me. I had to through on the turbo for an unexpected pop of the silver lame. It’s so 70’s disco. Just a bit of fun with accessories! Thanks for coming back for another year of the blog! God Bless!

I know you’re not used to seeing me in form-fitting clothing but this dressĀ  is so comfy I just couldn’t resist! And the length is what really attracted me to it. I wore it to our Christmas festivities for the job. We had a full and active day planned so I wanted to not only be stylish and put together but comfy. Oh yeah, how was your holidays? I guess I can officially wish you guys a Happy New Year since this is my first post of the year! Hope you all had a great time with your families and got some good gifts (and gave some good gifts). God Bless!
