Animal Instincts

Love the richness of a burgundy/wine color! It pops well against this animal print skirt. Wanted to dress the skirt down by styling it with this tee and platform sneakers. These sneakers are the same the ones I posted here with the stars. I initially purchased tan ones like these but with the stars. I never wore them so I returned them when I got back from Chicago after purchasing these and the white ones with the stars for both pair for less than the one other pair. Steve Madden was having a great sale! Well, thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

Velvet and More Velvet

Stepping out in this velvet coat I picked up when Michelle and I did our charity shopping trip last month. As usual, I picked it up in other colors too (burgundy and chocolate brown). Styled it with these high waist jeans that I cut the bottom hem off to give them that raw hem look. And the open toe booties were a no-brainer. Have you gotten in on the velvet trend yet this season? Thanks for stopping by! God Bless!

EMBROIDERED

Stepped out in these embroidered jeans to do some running around on a warm Fall day. I take advantage of every chance that I can get to stay in open toe shoes and sleeveless tops. And of course, bare legs for that matter. So today was one of those days. Embroidery, especially on denim, is a big trend right now. Alot of the top designers (including Gucci) have some great embroidered pieces in their lines. Those pieces are out of my price range so when I came across these jeans (and one other pair w/embroidery on the pocket) I had to have them! They’re pretty long, which I love, so I added some height with the platform sandals. Have you been taking advantage of the nice weather we’ve been having in the East? God Bless!

Tweedy Not Tweety

Sorry! I know I’ve been missing in action from the blog. Been so busy on the weekends with football and not really having the time or the motivation to take outfit pics. But I’m back now! Anyway, I styled this tweed Chanel-esque skirt with the basic Men’s white button down dress shirt. This one is extremely oversized since it is from the Big & Tall Section. I initially planned to wear it peeking out from beneath the skirt (it’s really long) but opted to style it more effortless and slightly disheveled with the thoughtlessly pushed up sleeves. Until the next time, God Bless!

Shine Bright

Styled one of my favorites, the bodysuit, with these cropped jeans and kimono wrap jacket. The jacket I picked up last year while shopping in Vegas. Because of its shimmer, it could come off a bit garish so I toned it down with denim. The same goes for the shiny bodysuit. I would consider this to be a transition out. Transitioning your Summer pieces to wear in the Fall when the weather is still a bit warm. Well, until the next time, God Bless!

Just a simple tank dress. These style of dresses are easy to throw on when you really don’t feel like getting dressed but you want to still look like you made some type of effort. I styled mine sporty with these metallic sneaks and a baseball cap. The shirt tied around the waste works double duty by giving the look a little something extra but also works for when you go into an air conditioned building and it’s a bit chilly. What’s a comfy, easy look that you do? Until next time, God Bless!

Apron-ish

This dress is so cool and comfy on a hot Summer’s day. I gives me an apron/smock vibe. I love the loose, flow of it! I keep the look crisp and clean looking with the white cropped mock neck top. Just a simple look from head to toe. Until the next time, God Bless!

Independence

Better late than never…Isn’t that how the saying goes? This is my 4th of July outfit. I’m way behind with my outfit posts so here it is. Nothing really to explain about it but wanted to wear red, white and blue. The sneakers were purchased a few months ago and just by happenstance are red, white and blue. I love a bandana so these patriotic ones will be added to the collection. Well, I have several other posts to do so I’m out for now. God Bless!
