Fluttery Flounce

14 Aug

I know by now you may be sick and tired of all the onesies/jumpsuits/rompers that I have been constantly wearing lately, but I love them! Like I always say, they’re like dresses, a no-brainer. It doesn’t take much thought because you don’t need to coordinate (in my Pop’s voice from The Wayan’s Bro.) separates. Just style it up with shoes and accessories and you’re done! Well, this one I wanted to style it more casual. That’s pretty much been my theme as of late. Casual and laid back. I don’t know, I guess the Summer just has been doing it to me. I don’t feel like wearing heels much so sneakers and flats have been my go to. This jumpsuit could easily be dressed up for a fancier occasion by throwing on some heels and different accessories. Have you changed anything about your look this Summer? Until the next time, God Bless!

Hippie-ish

This outfit is very festival ready. But if you ask Javar, he says I look like a hippie. But isn’t that the idea when one heads out to a music festival? It all started with Woodstock and now we see it from Coachella to every other music festival around the world. Except for one thing, I was going to a music festival. But the off-the-shoulder dress just gave me that vibe so I went with it. Which also made me feel like I should be barefooted, lol. But for photos only. I would not be caught barefooted outside, ugh. But no judgement. To each his own. What’s your music/outdoor festival style? God Bless!

Ears and A Midi

Sunday: Last start from the top. The ears is a headband that I picked up about a year ago. I thought it was a fun, quirky accessory (a few designers had showed similar ones). I haven’t worn them out before so I thought I would just wear them for outfit post. Sporting one of my favorite midi skirts that I found while shopping with my sis after our beach day. I also purchased it in navy. Dressing down the look with a tee is always one of my favs. And I can’t forget the hand accessory. I wouldn’t really call it a glove because it doesn’t cover the fingers, but I knew I had to have it! You know if it’s different, it’s for me! Well, thanks for taking some time out of your busy Summer schedule to keep up with my posts. Hope you had a great 4th of July! God Bless!

Zigging and Zagging

A few photos that I didn’t have a chance to post due to a very hectic and busy schedule. Please forgive the poor quality, I don’t know what happened with the lightening (and the weird lip thing that I didn’t realize I was doing, lol). This strapless jumpsuit was worn to a graduation a few weeks ago. It was a bit difficult to decide on a shoe to wear to compliment the length. It was too long for flats but not quite long enough for the heels that I chose (now I see after looking at these pics). The thing was, the heel height was fine until I pulled the top up to a presentable location that I was comfortable with. Anyway, jumpsuits are always on trend. From casual, daily wear to being more dressed up for an occasion or a night out. It’s all in how you style it! Try a jumpsuit! They look great on everyone if the fit is right! God Bless!

Sunday: Finally wearing this jumpsuit I bought a while ago. It’s completely lace (with a lining, of course) but it doesn’t translate too well in these photos. And it’s actually more cream colored. But anyway, I didn’t want it to be too dressy so I styled it with this denim vest and camo shoes. I could easily wear it to a more semi-formal event by styling it without the vest and belt and opted for a dressier or sparkly shoe. I would actually wear it to a wedding but some people would be offended because “tradition” says that only the bride can wear white. But I’m more untraditional so I think it’s ok. In my opinion, no matter what someone wears, they can never look prettier than a bride on her special day. That’s why I’m a big fan of the non-traditional weddings we’re seeing where everyone in the bridal party wears white. That’s one confident bride! She knows it’s all about her nobody what anybody else is wearing! Well, until the next time, thanks for stopping by! God Bless!
